You are good at something, stop lying to yourself. You’re good at breaking down comic book plots, cooking ramen perfectly, making your friends happy, knowing the time without looking at a clock, getting the perfect ending at RPG’s, or figuring out the twist ending to movies. Don’t let society tell you your talents are meaningless because they don’t serve an economical purpose. Your talents reflect your interests and passions, and what’s important to you is important.

This poem is about a boy
who loved a little too much
and fell a little too hard.
He loved a girl as much as
the stars love the night,
needing the darkness to rise
above the sky.
He loved her as much as
the rainbow loves the rain,
in the need to exist
on a sunny day.
He loved her as much as
the moon loves the sun,
so much he dies every night
to let her breathe once more.
He loved her as much as
the ocean loves the water,
the bird loves his wings
and the writer loves his words.
He loved her so much
that he couldn’t see,
that girl didn’t love him,
never did she.
but blinded by the sun,
the rain and the night,
he thought,
“I am the darkness, and she is my light!”
He loved her too much
so his heart died away,
it kept looking for love,
at the wrong place.
And when he tried
to love someone else,
he realized
that his heart was dead,
because he once fell in love
a little too hard
for the girl
he once loved
a little too much.

I like being alone, but I hate the feeling of being lonely.
When you’re alone, you have time for yourself. Your thoughts finally catch up to you. You set your mind on things and everything is just clearer. Nothing’s bothering you and everything just feels right for once.
When you feel lonely, you feel as if no one’s there for you. It feels like no one understands you or is willing to listen. It feels like you’re screaming in a crowded room, but yet not one person looks up.
